During the preparation for the 2012 Boomerang World Championship (WBC) in Brazil, Yvan and Jerome have come closer.
Jérôme had a professional project around the boomerang, in order to value his years of practice and the acquired know-how. For his part, Yvan really progressed thanks to the boomerangs manufactured by Jérôme. It is therefore natural that he proposed to put his engineering skills at the service of the development of Jerome's project.
During the year 2013, Jérôme moved closer to the Cooperative of Economic Activities Mine Talents, through his contacts at the technological incubator attached to the school of Mines of Ales. In the fall of 2013, Jérôme and Yvan became Employee Entrepreneurs of the cooperative. The Darwin Boomerangs brand was registered in their name, and the activity really began in 2014.
By the way, why "Darwin"?
The name "Darwin" was chosen in honor of Charles Darwin, who revolutionized the understanding of evolution.
It is the double idea evolution / revolution (both in the sense of change, but also in the trajectory of the boomerang) that connects the spirit of Darwin Boomerangs to that of the explorer. It is also a nod to the city Darwin, located in Australia, land of the aborigines.
