The two-bladed Darwin boomerang embodies the spirit of the brand : a playful boomerang, which surprises by the range of its trajectory, and reassure by its ease of throw. 30 metres range, just for fun !
The two-bladed Darwin boomerang embodies the spirit of the brand : a playful boomerang, which surprises by the range of its trajectory, and reassure by its ease of throw.
In order to keep focus on throwing ease, the boomerang is asymetric, with an oversized trailing blade which will help giving rotation. We remind that boomerang rotation is the main parameter which will bring stability and come-back capacity.
As for Clipperton, geometry of the leading blade, on two almost perpendicular axis, allows the outline to be closer to the gravity center of the boomerang. By the way, the boomerang is easier to catch, with a better contact for hands. When beginning, the boomerang regularily touches the ground, sometimes violently. As it is light, few cinetic energy is stored. Additionnaly, in case of impact, the large elbow will allow dissipating this energy, preventing from boomerang rupture.
The throw remains very slight, but with a throwing path longer than for the Clipperton. Vertical or slightly inclinated, it remains on a low trajectory, less than 6 meters at culmination. It is tolerant enough to allow learning of first boomerang tunings, especially ballasts. This will increase boomerang range (few grams for few meters).
